Season 17

Season 17: Super-formance started on September 28, 2024. The following new content and balance changes were announced:

You are S.U.P.E.R. ![edit]

  • Customize each incarnation and refine your strategies by upgrading Heroic ability packs!
  • Accumulate Heroic experience by accomplishing survival objectives and unique feats!
  • Snatch the Last Man Standing death from your fellow citizens and reveal your full potential in your next incarnation!
  • Discover exceptional new abilities, but don't forget that to choose is to give up!
  • Brothers in Arms' charges have been redesigned accordingly.

Don't skip leg day ![edit]

  • Exploration Points open up new possibilities for exploring the World Beyond.
  • Lace up your shoes, hop on your bike, put your scout's hood or visit them in their lair for a boost of Energy.
  • Recent research has revealed a new ruin that is rather exotic... Feel free to explore the World Beyond, and perhaps you may discover the newly opened Crows'fit Gym.

Make sure you stay hydrated and warm up before you run!

  • Speaking of running, maybe the race flag can help you identify the winner... although it's usually the one who hasn't been eaten. Otherwise you can just wave it around, it looks pretty.
  • If you'd rather have a goal to run to, maybe this deflated old soccer ball will give you a few minutes of fun while you forget about your miserable life?
  • Don't miss your morning jog with the new ‘Screaming Alarm Clock’, available in every self-respecting bunker. All you have to do is find out how it works...

Man's best friend?[edit]

  • The Tamer now has a range of abilities to adapt to any situation! Tame the World Beyond better than ever with the help of your little labradoodle! If that's not a good dog, what is?

The world of resourcefulness[edit]

  • Someone told you that you could fix anything with noodles, and after some thought you decided to take their advice and make Instant Imprints. Who said Technicians were the only experts?
  • The Burning Laser Pointer is now less efficient: loading a laser pointer now gives a random amount of charges.
  • Items' drop tables to several ruins have been adjusted for regular searches.
  • The Vegetable Plot does not provide Fleshrooms any more, but now has 4 levels of upgrade.
  • The Searchtower construction is now unlocked from the start.

Changes to profession constructions[edit]

  • The cost of use of the Survivalists' site has been reduced... but its earnings have been altered too! The building now grants purified stagnant water (for survivalists) or stagnant water (for non-survivalists).
  • Not convinced by the new Tamer's tricks? Maybe you'll like their brand new dedicated site! Who would have thought that animals could be so useful?
  • Slight resources' revision for the Technician's Workbench
  • The Scout's lair is now directly linked to Exploration Points, and will allow everyone to push themselves further to achieve fantastic results!

Beginners will be better guided[edit]

  • For testing purposes, we have decided to simply remove Small Maps. Note that this change is being monitored on our side and if it causes more confusion and problems, we will revert this change, even during the season.
  • Now beginners can join distant region towns without requiring a minimum of soul points.
  • The Beginner mode that provides helpful information has been improved and now offers more guidance to beginners.
  • After their death, beginners will be able to see some general guides for aspects of the game like the World Forum
  • For those who love the gameplay of Small Towns, don't worry, you'll still be able to create and join them with the new version of the Mayor function.

A new flaming tag[edit]

  • For those who have at least one top1 distinction; they unlock the classic Glory tag permanently. The design has not changed.
  • For those who have been in a top1 town in the previous season, they unlock the ability to post as "Winner" during the ongoing season. The design resembles the old Hordes forum's before the Twinoid integration. Who said recycling??

Changes to Hardcore towns[edit]

  • Adjusted the soul point limitation to 200 soul points in order to join Hardcore towns.
  • The camping penalty has been reduced, so it is now easier to enjoy your favourite activities under the stars.
  • If you prefer to stay cosy in your own home, we haven't forgotten about you. There are no longer any limits to your house upgrades in this game mode, even outside of chaos mode!
  • The chances of dying while on Watch in Hardcore towns has been increased. But we reduced the chances of being injured or terrorised. So it's a win-win... hum I think...

Not so deep night, huh?[edit]

  • The evolution levels of the Public Lights construction site have undergone overhauls: the site is now more powerful and costs fewer batteries each day.
  • During your exploration of the World Beyond, you can now notice if your current zone is under the effect of the Public lights or not thanks to the header that has illumination effects. Note that this may not apply to all images yet, but it will soon
  • Other changes are planned for night mode in a global way, but will be for another time. We are particularly attentive to this issue, so don't hesitate to put forward your ideas.

Catch them all![edit]

  • New titles to discover for your little golden distinctions or not!
  • Explore the World Beyond to discover new Roleplay texts that were written by the community, thank you all for participating! And for those who were not chosen, don't be discouraged, more to come!

And the others things...[edit]

  • Zombie overflow has been increased and now takes into account more criteria
  • The Guide of the World Beyond has a little bonus during their trip inside explorable ruins, related to the doors' distance.
  • Changes on Builder’s Merchant: the construction has become a common blueprint and the resources needed have been modified.
  • The last level of Dump has been removed.
  • The Portal no longer requires a Metal plate.
  • The Wall's required resources have been lowered.
  • Reduced drop chances for the Ghoul vaccine.
  • The Guardian's Watch bonus has been modified.
  • The defence provided by the Great Pit and by the Portal has been adjusted.
  • The expired betapropin's effects have been reworked.
  • The First Aid Kit does not provide a thick substance any more.
  • Explosive water bombs now provide more defence during Watch.
  • A sentence has been added when you have 100% chances of survival or more during Watch.
  • The name of Vitamined mines has been updated.
  • The JSON API's endpoint /me now gives the earned rewards per town when requesting the playedMap field (you must specify the rewards property to get those).
  • The JSON API's endpoint /me was giving the SoulPoints as the score property of the playerMap field. It now gives the town's score. A new property sp has been created to fetch the SoulPoints earned.
