Revised for Season 17

MyHordes game is split up into Seasons. During this time, towns are ranked according a score which reflects their capacity to survive as a group.

Game history

The original game created by MotionTwin was Hordes, a French-language online game. Over time, MotionTwin expanded the game by creating localized versions for different languages: a German version called Die Verdammten, an English version named Die2Nite, and a Spanish version known as Zombinoia. Although these versions featured minor rule variations, they were essentially the same game, adapted for different languages. MotionTwin's main focus remained on Hordes, which continued to receive updates up to Season 14. In comparison, Die2Nite reached Season 13, Die Verdammten reached Season 11, and Zombinoia only reached Season 10.

The development of MyHordes, the independent game we now enjoy, began in December 2019, before the establishment of EternalTwin. Initially, MyHordes was intended to be a clone of Die Verdammten, which is why the coding language for MyHordes is actually German! The motivation behind creating MyHordes was partly due to the impending end of support for Flash, prompting Brainbox to take on the challenge of recreating the game independently.

Seasons of the past

The seasons of MyHordes start with the 'Old Towns' which corresponds to the Alpha phase of of the game, then 'Beta Season' which corresponds to the Beta phase of the game. So, officially MyHordes seasons start with Season 15 and all the seasons from 0 to 14 are from the old variants of the game (Die Verdammten; Die2Nite; Zombinoia; Hordes) where season 0 corresponds to their alpha phases.

End of the season

• Skills system reset:
  • Temporary skill points will reset
  • Hero skill levels (SUPER) will reset

• Distribution of rewards:
  • Citizens that participated in a town that made it into the rankings receive a distinction ( or or ) for each town present in the rankings.
  • Community contributions awards are distributed.

• Rankings reset:
  • The Town rankings will reset.
  • Regular distinctions rankings will reset (You still can see the rankings of past seasons)
