As of season three, there is a new task before being able to construct buildings at the Construction Sites. Due to the downfall of civilization, the Blueprints needed to construct just about every building must be (re)discovered. There are almost 140 construction projects to recover!
Blueprint Types
- Construction Blueprint (common)
- Construction Blueprint (uncommon)
- Construction Blueprint (rare)
- Construction Blueprint (very rare!)
How to obtain blueprints
The Blueprints can be found in many ways or by constructing other buildings.
Finding lost plans
Each Town starts with several "free" plans scattered in the World Beyond.
These Blueprints are already uncovered, so all that is required is locate them, pick them up and bring them back to the Town!
- Local towns have 3 Construction Blueprint (rare) and 1 Construction Blueprint (very rare!) hidden on random zones in the World Beyond.
- Distant towns have 5 Construction Blueprint (rare) and 2 Construction Blueprint (very rare!) hidden on random zones in the World Beyond.
Scavenging in the World Beyond
It is also possible to discover Blueprints in the World Beyond while Scavenging.
Camping in the Ruins
You can also get a blueprint by camping in Ruins. The "quality" of the blueprint depends on how far that building actually is from the Town. Those close to town (9km or less) give a Construction Blueprint (uncommon), while those faraway from town (10km or more) give a Construction Blueprint (rare).
Note that only one blueprint can be found per Ruin camped.
The Architect's Study
The Architect's Study will give 1 Construction Blueprint (common) to The Bank after each Attack.
Explorable Ruins
The three Explorable Ruins each contain a separate set of blueprints that can unlock fewer buildings than their normal counterparts. See Explorable Ruins for the current possibilities.
Using blueprints
While in the safety of a Town, click on the blueprint when you're in your home to study it.
The project that it unlocks will automatically be added to the list of projects available at the Construction Sites and an announcement will be made in the Registers.
Blueprints should be used in the following order:
- Blueprints from Explorable Ruins
- other Blueprints
For the reason of possible duplicates, if not opening those from the ruins first.
