Thirst is a reality of life in a zombie-infested desert. Whether through over-exertion or the simple lack of resources, eventually a citizen will become Thirsty. Failing to treat this will cause them to become Dehydrated!, which in turn leads to Death.

You are thirsty... This happens in the morning if you haven't drank the night before, or if you've been walking in the desert for a long time...

Cause

• If a citizen does not drink a Water Ration / Purified Stagnant Water to gain the Refreshed effect, the next day they will become Thirsty.
• If a citizen walks 11 squares in the desert without using a Water Ration / Purified Stagnant Water, they will immediately become Thirsty. See the Zombie Survival Almanac for more information on how to avoid this.
  • The counter does not reset even if you return town and go out again. For example, if you walk 6 squares and return town. Walking 5 squares more will immediately "downgrade" your status.

Effect

If a citizen goes to sleep Thirsty and also not Refreshed, they will awaken the next day Dehydrated!

Removal

• Taking Hydratone 100mg will relieve thirst, but with no AP restoration and will cause you to become Drugged.
• Drinking a Water Ration / Purified Stagnant Water will slake your thirst and recover 6 .
