In the world of an apocalypse, anything can be used as a last effort attempt for survival. Someone's out there using a pathetic penknife to stab zombies, so why shouldn't you try and use this sturdy piece of wood to whack a zombie? At least it looks reliable.

• As a Melee weapon against Zombies in the World Beyond (not possible if Exhausted):

• Attacking with it has a 60 % success rate of killing 1 Zombie.
• After attacking there is a 15 % chance that it is Broken... and has to be Repaired.

• As a Guard Weapon against Zombies during The Attack:

• It stops 15 Zombies if in a Watchman's Inventory (requires Miniature Armory).
• After the attack it is Broken... and has to be Repaired.

• Event item, only available during the St. Patrick's event (each year March 14th-19th)
  • St. Patrick's items: Green Imp Suit, Primitive Hurling Stick, Sticky Pint
• It is very likely a reference to a hurley stick, a wooden stick used in an Irish sport "Hurling". Its use is similar to the bat in Baseball.
• The blurb is a quote from the movie Blitz starring Jason Statham, where after Jason Statham uses a Primitive Hurling Stick to beat up three car thieves (one of them wielding a Pathetic Penknife), he said: "If you’re gonna pick the wrong fight, at least pick the right weapon!"
