Food items provide various means of restoring {{AP}} and are essential to survival.

==Water==
{{MetaInline|Food|displayname=Food items}} are the consumable objects that provide means of restoring {{AP}}. Most of them can be found by {{MetaInline|Scavenging}} in the {{MetaInline|World Beyond}}, others can be obtained by {{MetaInline|Item combinations|displayname=Combining}} or {{MetaInline|Construction Sites|displayname=Buildings}}.
Drinking water will restore {{AP}} to maximum (6 for a healthy person), give the {{MetaInline|Refreshed}} effect, and remove the {{MetaInline|Thirsty}} effect. However, if you are {{MetaInline|Dehydrated}}, drinking water will change your status to {{MetaInline|Thirsty}} and not restore any {{AP}}. The {{MetaInline|Refreshed}} effect prevents you from restoring {{AP}} again from water, and stops you drinking for this purpose. If you become {{MetaInline|Thirsty}} or {{MetaInline|Dehydrated}} later on you may drink again to remove these effects.

*{{MetaInline|Dried Marshmallows}} - needs cooking over a {{MetaInline|Torch}} and becomes {{MetaInline|Burnt Marshmallows}}. Heroes can also cook this in a kitchen without a {{MetaInline|Torch}} to make it edible.
*{{MetaInline|Suspicious looking plum juice}} - can be eaten for no effect or cooked by a hero in a {{MetaInline|Kitchen}}.

Containers must be opened in some manner and give random food items.

*{{MetaInline|Doggy Bag}} - can be opened without cost or tools to give 1 item. Cannot be opened if you have a hand injury!
*{{MetaInline|Food Parcel}} - requires tools to open and gives 1-2 items.

==Alcohol==

*{{MetaInline|'Wake The Dead'}}
*{{MetaInline|Vodka Marinostov}}
