Distinctions
(Redirected from Sand Balls !)
Distinctions are achievements earned by accomplishing certain objectives, or encountering certain events by chance and are shown on the player's Soul page.
BasicsEdit
- Before the 5th day, distinctions earned on the last day will not be awarded (a few distinctions are exceptions to this rule, for example: banishment distinctions, distinctions relating to death, etc.). After the 5th day, you can die and any further distinctions earned daily are also included.
- Many distinctions unlock unique titles after reaching a certain amount. Unlocked titles can be chosen at settings on the soul page.
- Rare distinctions and normal distinctions can be obtained in random Towns.
- The requirements for the rare ones are more difficult to achieve, some of them only during seasonal events.
- Special distinctions are shown as rare or normal, but cannot be obtained in random towns.
- Some of them are awards for participating in certain events, all of which may never occur again, rendering such achievements unattainable.
- Others were only obtainable for a certain period of time in random towns.
ScoreEdit
Some distinctions contribute to your overall Score shown as Points in the Statistics section of your Soul page. It is an estimate of your general progress in the game, expressed as a number between 0 and 1000.
- First, the points from the distinctions you have achieved are added together and divided by the maximum points possible. The result is multiplied by 1000 and rounded to get an integer score. The scores shown on this page are not the actual points given by the distinctions, but rather an approximation of their value on the 0 to 1000 scale, rounded to the nearest half-integer. The point maximum seems to be 303, and distinctions worth 1 point are displayed as 3.5, 2 points are displayed as 6.5 and so on.
