Reactor
This terrifying building came from a soviet submarine and sends powerful bolts of electricity arcing around the town with a deafening crackle. The only "hitch" is that it has to be repaired daily. If it is destroyed, the town and its surroundings are instantly vaporized, wiping everything off the map (where you'll be). The label reads: soviet design, assembled in « вшивый ».

Reactor
Revised for Season 17

Don't ask how a nuclear reactor kills 500 zombies a day. It just does. The risk is that this thing could go off at any second. If a meltdown does occur, the whole town will explode and you will be vaporised instantly by the radiation and heat. On the bright side, so will all the zombies around here.

Construction[edit]

  • The Reactor must have been unlocked with a blueprint:
  • The Foundations must have been completed.
  • The following resources must be in The Bank and will be used up after completion:
  • Citizens must spend 100 to complete the building.

Effects[edit]

  • Building it gives initially 500 to the town and it got 250 damage points (/2), but the true depends on the state of the Reactor.
  • Each night the Reactor takes 50 - 125 damage and its damage points are lowered by that amount, so it loses 100-250 daily.
    • The damage is done to the reactor before the attack, which means it will never give the full 500 .

Repair[edit]

  • You can repair the Reactor: 1 will repair 2 damage points (=4 ). In other words, 25-63 is needed to fully repair the Reactor's daily damage.
    • As the Reactor is repaired, the will increase again, until it is fully repaired, when it will give 500 .
  • It is not necessary to repair it daily, but of course more are needed the following day because of the new damage.
  • In most towns repairing the Reactor is not wanted, because the goal is its destruction.

Meltdown[edit]

  • If the Reactor's damage points reach zero, the whole map is destroyed, all Citizens are killed, no matter whether in town or outside.
    • If not repaired that will happen the third or fourth night after building.
(theoretically 2-5 days, but that would need 2*125 damage or 5*50 damage, very unlikely)
    • The reactor blows up before zombies enter the town because the damage is done before the attack, so there is no need for enough that night.
The whole region has been irradiated by the destruction of the Reactor!

Distinctions[edit]

Notes[edit]

  • The Reactor's production site roughly translates into "Lousy". This is likely a reference to "Installation des Pouilleux", the first french town to build the Reactor. "Pouilleux" translates to "Lousy".
